Yesterday a squad of nine Year 5 and 6 boys took to the football field once again. After almost 2 years of not being able to train let alone compete together, the boys showed no signs of rust as they played out two closely fought matches against Highfield and Shirley Junior School. In the first match, the boys dominated the play but couldn’t quite find a way through the opposition defence. Alfie, Oliver and George all going close but alas a goalless draw was the final result. In their second match, a narrow defeat couldn’t detract from a magnificent team performance. Throughout both games, the players communicated with each other, supported one another and trusted each and every teammate – it was an impressive return to action and myself and ALL of the parents who came along to support couldn’t be prouder of their attitudes and levels of effort. Well done Aiden, Connor, Alfie, George, Henry, Ryley, Jack, Oliver and George!
