Another fantastic example of sporting excellence was on show as the Year 5 and 6 Cross Country team took to the very soggy fields of Gang Warily. The 17 children took part in team races and showed incredible strength and determination to get around what was a very wet and heavy course. Individually, each and every runner was amazing and it was once again inspiring to see such young children give every last ounce of energy and effort in trying to achieve the very best position they could. It is not often in the classroom you see get to see a child so obviously drained of all energy but as they crossed the line, it was clear to see how hard each child had pushed themselves. This half term’s School Games Value has been Passion: it is what makes you enter the race but also what makes you finish it! It was most definitely on show last week and once again we are so proud! Results are now in: boys came 12th out of 20 teams while the girls achieved an impressive 6th out of 16! Special mention to Ava and Elijah who both came 18th in fields of more than 100 competitors each. Well done Amber, Ava, Evie, Imogen, Keira, Lily, Lola, Phoebe and Verity; Ben, Elijah, Jack, Logan, Max, Oliver P, Oliver T and Tyler.
