ProKick
On Tuesday 26 November, every child will get to have a go at Prokick. Matt from the Sports Foundation came in to talk to the children about this last week during an assembly. He discussed how to score. The challenge will be to kick the ball into the goal. The children’s kicks are measured in miles per hour. The fastest girl and boy in each class will be awarded a medal. We are sending home sponsor forms today. School will get a percentage of all money raised.
Table Tennis
Last Wednesday, armed with her official table tennis bat carrier bag, Mrs Billinge had the pleasure of taking two teams of Y5 and Y6 boys and girls to compete in the New Forest Table Tennis Tournament at Testwood. Throughout the afternoon, the eight pupils competed against several other school demonstrating a huge amount of determination, resilience and skill. Playing singles table tennis is a daunting prospect but each player rose to the occasion and gave it their all with girls managing to win a bronze medal by coming third! Fantastic achievement by everyone involved…must have been the coaching from Mrs Billinge! Congratulations Lola, Sophie, Emelia, Lydia, Elijah, Freddie, Oliver and Oliver
Athletic league competition
On the 14.11.19 eight children attended the first indoor Athletics league of the year for Year 5 and 6 at Testwood School. They worked brilliantly as a team and individually, many achieving personal bests in their individual events. Each child took part in a running event, field event (consisting of either shot put, speed bounce, long jump or triple jump) and relay. A huge well done to Jack, Max, Elijah, Kyle, Sophie, Kiera, Phoebe and Emelia for their hard work.
