On Thursday, Calmore played their first league matches of the season at the new Sport Solent 3G pitches at Test Park. The 8 boys played three matches drawing each game, and remained unbeaten throughout the afternoon. Each player worked hard and quickly got to grips with the new surface. Alex made a fingertip save to keep the game level in game 2 while Jayden R was unlucky not to open the scoring in the final match. Conceding a goal with less than a minute to go might have been enough to stop other teams, but not Calmore. Jeho, player of the day, made a ramapaging run forward, beating two players and holding off the challenge of a final defender before rolling the ball across to George who calmly tucked away the deserved equaliser. Well played boys. Great start to the season.
