This week’s theme is Tolerance. Being tolerant is being willing to accept or respect what is different in others, especially their beliefs and customs. Tolerance is a BRITISH VALUE and something that we promote in school in all that we do. Our 3 rules are be ready, be respectful and be safe. So being respectful to everyone is part of being tolerant of each other’s differences. We live in a hugely diverse country with people of many different cultures, beliefs, traditions and lives but in order to live in harmony, we need to be tolerant of each other and celebrate our differences rather than criticise them.
During our assemblies this week, we talked about how we can become more tolerant in school and what we should do if we see people not being tolerant of others.
