weekly assembly theme

This week’s theme, along with Children in Need, is Anti Bullying week’. Anti-Bullying Week is a way of raising awareness about bullying. It is a week during which we learn about bullying and how to deal with it and has a different theme each year.

This year’s theme is One KIND word. Kindness is more important today than it has ever been. The isolation of the last 18 months has underlined how little acts of kindness can break down barriers and brighten the lives of the people around us. This is one of the reasons that ‘One Kind Word’ has been chosen as the theme of Anti-Bullying Week. We talked about how we can be kind and what it means to someone when someone else has been kind to them. It means so much and it is such a simple, easy thing to do. This led beautifully on from last week’s theme of PAY IT FORWARD.  The simple message really is just be kind to everyone that you see and the world will be a much better place.

We also celebrated Children in Need day today by dressing up in bright clothes or Pudsey outfits. The children all brought a £1 in for the wonderful charity to help children less fortunate than ourselves. Thank you so much – we raised £209 today.
