Training with Southampton Football Club

Training with the pros!

On Wednesday, Year 5 & 6 were treated to a special football training session led by the manager and players of Southampton FC via the virtual world of Zoom. Aimed at 10-16 year olds, schools from all around the country were invited to participate in an hour long session where they replicated some of the warm up games and ball skills all under the watchful eyes of players such as James Ward-Prowse, Theo Walcott and Che Adams. To top it off, the club sent every child a Saints shirt so that they really felt the part. It was a great opportunity for these children and a highlight for so many football fans…and even some non-football experts! The school has good links with Southampton FC so will be looking to provide similar opportunities and experiences for Years 3 & 4 whenever possible.
