Hi there

There was a lot of wrapping going on in Year 5 today – an awful lot of wrapping – and I still think it was a bit early for Christmas presents!  It seems it was all about mummies – or was it daddies? – I’m not too sure!

Anyway, I Hero, Gorgon’s Cave was first today and it was one of those books where you could decide for yourself what would happen next – and I was helping to choose!  I also found out that whoever stared into the Gorgon Euryale’s eyes got turned to stone!

Next up was Birthday Boy, and Sam saw a special star and made a wish that it could be his birthday every day, not just tomorrow!

The 65-Storey Treehouse was next, and it had s-o-o-o-o-o many rooms, including a pet grooming room and an unbirthday room, where the longer you stayed, the younger you got!  Mum got very excited at the thought of that!

Then it was My Big Brother Boris, and grumpy Boris told his family that he was too old to play birthday games.  Hey, that made three in a row stories with a birthday theme today!  Woo hoo!

Last today was Varjak Paw which was all about a very pampered kitten who lived with his owner, the Contessa, high up on a hill.

Great reading today Year 5!
