The turn of our Year 5/6 girl footballers today as they braved the rain at Applemore. A squad of 10 competed against 14 other school teams and played some fiercely competitive matches - 8 in total, conceding just one goal all afternoon! The great thing about the team was their willingness to listen to each other, share ideas and grow in confidence to choose their own line ups and formations. Once the final ball was kicked, the girls had managed to win 2 games and draw 5, narrowly missing out on a gold medal. So proud of you all - the smiles say it all! Girl Power! 👊🏻
