Year 5/6 Gymnastics Festival

Y5/6 Gymnastics…Quite possibly the best sporting event we’ve attended! From the moment we stepped into the incredible gymnasium at Noadswood School, we knew we were in for a treat. Spring loaded floors and an array of apparatus and equipment that we’d only ever seen on the Olympics! Today was a festival so meant our two teams (6 girls, 6 boys) worked their way around 12 stations and got experience a variety of disciplines that were new to most - beam, trampoline, vault, springboard, tumble mat as well as group led routines. Brilliant! Guided superbly by the Noadswood Young Leaders, our pupils got to soar through the sky, tumble across mats, spin in the air and all with beaming smiles - many lit up with pride and even surprise at what they were doing. An absolutely inspiring afternoon and one that I hope has ignited a new spark for a few… It will be Y3/4 gymnastics in a couple of weeks and I’ve already asked if we can be allowed to bring more than 2 teams 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
