From plant, to plate, to palate! Having harvested a bounty of ripe and ready riches from the school garden, Miss Ball and Mrs Quinn, along with other members of staff, served up a treat in assembly this morning. The pupils enjoyed sweetcorn, pots of stewed apple, pears, tomatoes, strawberries...and some even braved trying a shallot! The children were so excited to eat what we have grown ourselves, here in school. Now time to get the winter veg in...I wonder if they'll enjoy eating the cabbage?! (No spiders were harmed or indeed eaten in the process!)
